Lebanon – Improving the well-being of vulnerable Syrian refugees and Lebanese children
To address the urgent psychosocial needs of youth in Lebanon, Peace of Mind and Medair launched a community-based initiative focused on healing and resilience. Through peer support, creative expression, and inclusive activities, the project empowers adolescents to navigate trauma and foster connection amid ongoing conflict and uncertainty.

Uganda – Emotional Healing for Children Affected by Conflict
In Uganda, children in refugee settlements and host communities are vulnerable to mental health challenges and, in some cases, face displacement, violence, and inter-generational trauma. Peace of Mind Foundation, in partnership with Connect Children Now, has supported over 2,100 displaced children with a psychosocial support programme that fosters resilience, emotional regulation, and self-worth.

Occupied Palestinian Territory – Gaza Crisis: Assisting children and their families with psychosocial support
Peace of Mind Foundation supported Save the Children’s crucial psychosocial support activities in Gaza. The project trained front-line staff, delivered psychosocial support activities in shelters, distributed mental health kits, and produced psychosocial support audio messages to aid affected individuals and families.

Switzerland – Space – Skills – Sports: Promoting the well-being of unaccompanied young refugees in Switzerland
The Peace of Mind Foundation prioritizes aiding unaccompanied minor refugees, who often endure violence and abuse. Teaming up with Save the Children, we support the Space-Skills-Sports project in Swiss asylum shelters. This initiative fosters well-being, identity development, and integration for young refugees. Our EUR 50,000 contribution underscores our commitment to their equal rights.

Ukraine – Art, music and storytelling therapy
The conflict in Ukraine greatly affects the mental health of children and families, increasing the risk of long-term disorders. Peace of Mind Foundation partnered with ARQ on a project that involves training Early Childhood Education specialists in art, music, and storytelling therapies.

The initiative “Supporting Mental Health and Healing for Vulnerable Children” collaborates with schools and communities to raise awareness of mental health issues and establish safe havens for children to navigate stress and anxiety.

United Kingdom – Supporting the mental health of unaccompanied minors
Around 4,600 unaccompanied minors arrived in the UK between July 2021 and November 2023. Enthum House in East Sussex provides these children with safe housing and comprehensive assistance, including therapeutic support. The Peace of Mind Foundation funded activities at Enthum House including sports, arts, and counseling to help young asylum seekers recover and integrate.

Following Hamas attacks on Israel in 2023, the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, faced heightened humanitarian, economic, and political challenges. The Peace of Mind Foundation partnered with War Child to enhance Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS) services for children and caregivers affected by the resulting violence and tension.

Yemen – Reducing anxiety and promoting resilience
Yemen, deeply impacted by prolonged conflict, faces a substantial mental health crisis with an estimated 8 million people requiring support. The Peace of Mind Foundation supported the “Anxiety and Resilience Training Program for Yemen,” equipping professionals to aid children in managing anxiety and fostering resilience.

Ukraine – Empowering refugee children and adults
The Peace of Mind Foundation backs the War Childhood Museum to aid trauma-affected individuals and communities. Funding 14 workshops, it employs art- and movement-inspired therapy to provide safe spaces for discussing war experiences and learning coping mechanisms. Tailored for individuals in Ukraine or Ukrainian refugees, activities include readings, storytelling, dance, and collage making.
